Changing America one election at a time.

Hi everyone,
Our next meeting will be on Monday, April 11 (the week AFTER the election), at the Heartland Café: 6 pm for those who wish to join us for a buffet dinner and social time before the meeting starts ($15), and 7 pm for the start of the meeting (free: cash bar). We’ll be doing “Election War Stories: the run-off” for the meeting: so come prepared to tell your favorite story from the get out the vote effort for the April 5th election. We’ll have some of our endorsed and adopted candidates there to speak, but the main event is the stories from our members.

A bookkeeping issue: if you wish to vote at any given meeting, you must turn in your campaign activities by 5 pm on the Sunday before the meeting. You will not be eligible to vote if you turn in events at the meeting itself, although you are welcome to write them down on our lists and have them count for the next meeting. Voting member events – defined as campaign work done for our endorsed/ adopted candidates (as well as selected events marked by the Steering Committee as voting member events in advance of the event) – should be turned into NorthsideDFA@gmail.com by 5 pm Sunday, April 10th this month; events turned in after that will be counted towards voting membership for May.

Even if you have enough events for voting membership, please tell us about your work: we do keep track of how many hours/events our members worked, and it’s helpful to know so we can plan for the future. If you have any questions about what counts for voting membership, please let me or NorthsideDFA@gmail.com (email is answered by Cat Dean, our independent contractor) know: we’ll be happy to clarify for you any confusion.

Meanwhile, we have less than 48 hours to go before we know the results of this election: it’s down to the wire, and all the work you do is really important!
