...and why is Ms. Moore voting for my district, the 11th, in Springfield? She's getting to vote on the death penalty, the income tax hike and free CTA rides for seniors. Yet, she received no votes in November.

Ann Williams, Mike Madigan's candidate, was elected in November. John Fritchey, outgoing Rep., resigned early so he could become a Cook County Commissioner. To fill the 3 week gap, the Committeemen met and selected Ms. Moore.

All I could find on her is that a "Kathleen C. Moore" of 2604 N. Cleveland (in the 11th district) gave Ted Matlak $250 in 2007 and Julie Hamos $250 in 2009.

As always in Illinois politics, this raises many questions: When did the Committeemen meet? Did they solicit public comment? Who is Ms. Moore? What are her qualifications?

Luckily, I was able to find a recent picture of Ms. Moore.
