I have a question for Sen. Peters: Will you introduce legislation that requires that all elected offices must be filled by election only, regardless of when the office is vacated, and regardless of how much time remains before the next regularly-scheduled election? This legislation will require a special election, and it will also repeal previous legislation allowing such elected offices to be filled by appointment whenever vacated between regular elections.
